Leslie Kaelbling

Leslie Pack Kaelbling is an American roboticist, a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She was a graduate of Stanford University (Ph.D., 1990). Her research focuses on decision-making under uncertainty, machine learning, and sensing with applications to robotics. She is the founder and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Machine Learning Research.

Jacob White

Jacob K. White is the Cecil H. Green Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He researches fast numerical algorithms for simulation, particularly the simulation of circuits. He has also done extensive work on steady-state simulation of analog and microwave circuits. White received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in 1985, working on waveform relaxation under advising professor Alberto Sangiovanni-Vincentelli. He worked for IBM prior to joining the MIT faculty.

Harold Abelson

Harold "Hal" Abelson is a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT, a fellow of the IEEE, and a founding director of both Creative Commons and the Free Software Foundation. Abelson holds an AB degree from Princeton University and obtained a PhD degree in mathematics from MIT under the tutelage of mathematician Dennis Sullivan.

Dennis Freeman

Dennis M. Freeman is a Principal Investigator in the Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He received his B.S. from the Pennsylvania State University in 1973, and his S.M. and Ph.D. from MIT in 1976 and 1986 respectively. Professor Freeman’s research is aimed at understanding the cellular and molecular origins of the remarkable properties of human hearing.

Tomás Lozano-Pérez

Tomas Lozano-Perez is currently the School of Engineering Professor in Teaching Excellence at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he is a member of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. He has been Associate Director of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and Associate Head for Computer Science of MIT's Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. His research has been in robotics , computer vision , machine learning, medical imaging and computational chemistry.

Isaac Chuang

Isaac L. Chuang currently leads the quanta research group at the Center for Ultracold Atoms at MIT. He received his undergraduate degrees in physics (1990) and electrical engineering (1991) and masters in electrical engineering (1991) at MIT. In 1997 he received his PhD in electrical engineering from Stanford University. Chuang is one of the pioneers of NMR quantum computing.
